Bristol Virginia Elementary School Goes From Bottom To Top Performing Schools In State

A Bristol Virginia City School has gone from performing in the bottom ten percent of Virginia school’s to one of the top two Title One Schools in the Commonwealth. Title One schools receive additional federal funds due to the high number of underprivileged . Washington–Lee Elementary School went from the bottom to the top of academically performing schools in a five year period. U.S. Congressman, Morgan Griffith is presenting the school with the National Distinguished School Award this Friday in a student assembly at Washington-Lee Elementary.
