Commonwealth Attorney Chuck Slemp Takes Oath Of Office

In a crowded courtroom Tuesday, Wise County and the City of Norton Commonwealth’s Attorney Chuck Slemp took the oath of office for the second time. Slemp was first elected in 2015 to lead the prosecutors office in Wise and was most recently re-elected during last months state wide elections. Last year, Slemp and his office handled over 30 thousand cases. Slemp is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s College at Wise.
