Police Report shows new details surrounding death of woman in Church Hill on Monday
More details have been released surrounding the death of a woman in Hawkins County on Monday.
A police report from the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to an area on Tranbarger Road around 8:30 a.m where they found a female laying in a ditch line not breathing. Emergency personnel confirmed she had no pulse or no heartbeat, and the reporting deputy said he observed what appeared to be blood in the roadway surrounded by broken glass. The identity of the woman has been determined by law enforcement but has not yet been released.
The case remains under investigation.

Sheriff Ronnie Lawson says the dead female found Monday morning in Church Hill has been identified. Lawson also noted that the person is not being identified and no other information will be released until investigators have all their information.

Investigators in Hawkins County are asking for the public’s help following the discovery of a dead body Monday morning.
A report from Sheriff Ronnie Lawson said a white female was found lying in a ditch on Tranbarger Road in Church Hill. The sheriff said her identification has not been confirmed but did describe tattoos on the woman’s body including an American flag on her back left shoulder with a cross in the center.
It also said ‘God Bless You All’ at the top and ‘Love Papa 4-30-45 to 8-2-14’ on the bottom. Her remains have been sent for an autopsy.
