Miss Greene County vying for Miss America title

The first African American crowned Miss Tennessee will vie for the title of Miss America in Connecticut this evening.

Brianna Mason was crowned Miss Greene County earlier this year, making her eligible for the state competition in Nashville where she won in June. Mason was a student at the University of Tennessee majoring in elementary education. She has been promoting autism awareness in her tours around the state. The event is scheduled for 8 p.m.
