Sheriff: Riverview Elementary in Grundy searched after report of ammunition found

The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office conducted a thorough search of a local elementary school on Thursday after a report of ammunition being found on the campus.

A report from Sheriff Ray Foster said several deputies and investigators were sent to Riverview Elementary and Middle schools in Grundy and found no weapons on the grounds. The investigation continues and Foster noted there was no threat to the students and staff.
