New Sullivan East Middle School Set To Open

Sullivan County’s newest school is set to open Tuesday morning. More than 600 students from Mary Hughes, Bluff City, and Holston Valley will continue their education in the brand new multi million dollar Sullivan East Middle School. Superintendent of Sullivan County Schools, Dr. David Cox says after years of study, consolidation of the three schools was the answer.

Mary Hughes will remain an elementary school while, Bluff City and Holston Valley will be closed. The new middle school can serve up to 800 students.
