Andis: Two jailed on drug, gun charges in Washington County, Virginia

A Washington County, Virginia couple is being held in jail without bond after they were arrested on drug charges following traffic stops.

A report from Sheriff Blake Andis’ office said William Everett Himes actually ran from officers during a stop that occurred around midnight on Sunday. They found a weapon and several ounces of meth during a search of his vehicle.

An acquaintance of Himes, Amber E. Arthur, was also pulled over by police where meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded gun were discovered.

Both suspects are facing gun and drug charges while Himes faces an additional eluding charge, the report said.
