Wise County Man Gets Hefty Prison Sentence For Drug Conspiracy Charges
A Wise County Virginia man, who was one of 20 defendants charged with conspiring to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine into southwest Virginia is sentenced to a hefty prison term. 28 year old Joseph Andrew Hobbs will spend 19 years behind bars according to a press release from the United States Attorney’s Office in Abingdon. Hobbs, pled guilty to one count of conspiring to distribute and possessing with the intent to distribute the drug in Lee and Wise Counties. All 20 defendants have been convicted via plea agreement or jury trial.
