Ballad Health Once Again Urging Caution And Preventive Measures Due To Flu
Ballad health is once again urging caution and preventive measures as Flu levels in the Appalachian Highlands are on the arise again. Since September, the health system’s hospitals have seen more than 23 hundred patients for flu infections and other complications. In fact last week, 297 patients were seen that’s up from a previous report of 236 the week before. Ballad is also reporting the rate growth applies to both the A and B strains of the virus. The press release also says in addition to the flu, other transmissible illnesses, including stomach viruses and respiratory infections, are also occurring at higher levels throughout the region.
