Eastman’s Groundbreaking Sustainable Technology Paying Off With Collaboration Effort

Kingsport’s Eastman Chemical Company is using its newest, ground breaking recycling technologies for a first ever collaboration with a premium eyewear company. Mazzucchelli 1849, is a world leader in the manufacturing and distribution of acetate sheet in its eyewear production. The collaboration is made possible through Eastman’s innovative carbon renewal technology, allowing Mazzuchelli to become the first to produce the material from entirely sustainable acetate flake. The process also diverts waste from landfills in the production process.
