DEA Announces Improvements To Rural Medication Assisted Treatments For Opioid Abuse
There’s help on the way for rural areas in the region where those suffering with opioid use disorder may have limited treatment options. The Drug Enforcement Agency is announcing improved access to medication assisted treatment for opioid misuse and abuse. Medication assisted therapy is a successful, evidence based practice to treat opioid dependence by streamlining the registration process by making it easier to providers to offer needed services in remote or underserved areas.
