Tennessee Governor Forms COVID-19 Unified Command
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee is streamlining coordination across the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, the Tennessee Department of Health and Tennessee Department of Military in an effort to fight the spread of COVID-19. The Governor has established the COVID-19 Unified Command. A joint effort to be led by Commissioner Stuart McWhorter in an effort to effectively change the way the state is attacking COVID-19 in Tennessee. McWhorter is leaving his post as the head of Tennessee’s Department of Finance and Administration to coordinate the COVID-19 Unified Command. McWhorter also appointed Retired Brig. General Scott Brower to serve as chief of staff for the operation.
