I-26 To Get Much Needed Repairs Soon
One of the most heavily traveled roadways in the region is soon slated to receive some much needed repair. Rough sections of Interstate 26 in Sullivan and Washington Counties will be resurfaced in the near future thanks to a new law passed last year by the Tennessee Legislature. The Improve Act of 2017, signed by Governor Bill Haslam establishes a tax on gasoline that creates a long term dedicated funding source for almost one thousand roadway and bridge improvements projects in all 95 counties of Tennessee.
