Memo explains new guidelines regarding City of Kingsport employees who plan on traveling to Knox County

New guidelines are in effect for City of Kingsport employees who plan on traveling to Knox County.

A memo to city employees says if they plan on traveling to the area, they must submit a travel form as well as speak with their supervisor about precautions and travel details. A decision will then be made regarding if they can return to work right away. These precautions are being put into place due to the accelerated rate of COVID-19 cases in Knox County and the surrounding area.

City spokesperson Adrienne Batara tells Supertalk these are necessary precautions to keep the local community and employees safe.
