TN Dept of Labor launches third pandemic unemployment compensation program, offers additional 13 weeks of compensation to eligible individuals
The TN Dept. of Labor and Workforce Development has now begun it’s third pandemic unemployment program to extend unemployment benefits to those in need.
The state agency is starting to process the pandemic extended unemployment compensation as well as continuing to process it’s other two pandemic related unemployment compensation programs. The new unemployment benefit program provides an extra 13 weeks of compensation to eligible claimants who meet certain outlined criteria, which is listed below.
*Have exhausted all rights to regular compensation under state or federal law with respect to a benefit year that ended on or after July 1, 2019;
*Have no rights to regular compensation with respect to a week under any other state unemployment compensation law or federal unemployment compensation law, or to compensation under any other federal law;
*Are not receiving compensation with respect to a week under the unemployment compensation law of Canada; and
*Are able to work, available to work.
Those who have exhausted their state compensation claim or if their benefit year has ended need to refile to receive the benefits provided by the new compensation program. Individuals wanting to refile their claim can access their account by visiting here.
