Tennessee And Virginia SNAP Participants Can Now Purchase Food On Line
Residents in Tennessee and Virginia who participate in the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program or SNAP will now be able to purchase food online with their benefits from the program. U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue says 13 new states. The launch of a two year SNAP online purchasing program began in April in New York in response to COVID-19. Once operational, online purchasing will be available in 36 states and the district of Columbia, home to more than 90 percent of SNAP participants.
