Tennessee Expected To Surpass White House’s Criteria For Testing COVID-19
Tennessee is on track to reach testing of three percent of its population by the end of this month, surpassing the White House’s testing criteria of two percent per month for safe reopening. From May first through last Wednesday, Tennessee conducted roughly 177 thousand COVID-19 tests, more than all previous weeks combined. The state is currently conducting an average of 87 hundred tests per day and is listed by the Harvard Global Health Institute as one of seven states to reach a benchmark for COVID-19 testing according to a report from Governor Bill Lee’s office.
