Multi-Agency Drug Bust In Washington County, Virginia Leads To 37 Arrests

The first wave of one of the largest drug busts in Washington County Virginia concluded Tuesday with the arrests of 37 individuals on a 101 charges mostly involving a surge of methamphetamine in the region. Operation Pandemic was a multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional operation stretching from Southwest Virginia into Sullivan County and parts of neighboring North Carolina. Sheriff Blake Andis says when the pandemic shut down localities, the drug dealers stayed on the streets.Sheriff Andis says he expects another wave of arrests in the coming months and hopes the operation deters other drug dealers on the streets.
