Free Fishing Weekend In Virginia

If you’ve always wanted to fish, then this weekend might be a good time to pick up the sport with Virginia offering a weekend of fishing with no fishing license of any kind required. The Virginia Department of Game and Inland fisheries has removed the restrictions for fishing designated stocked trout waters. By doing so more than 29 hundred miles of trout streams, in addition to numerous ponds, small lakes and reservoirs will be open to allow the public to fish for free June 5-7. All fishing regulations including size, season, cathc limits, and gear restrictions, will remain in effect.
