VSP: One killed in motorcycle crash Thursday in Bristol

Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened Thursday evening in Bristol, VA.

A state police report says an adult male driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling on the I-381 ramp onto Interstate 81 southbound, when police say he lost control and ran off the road. A preliminary investigation says he was ejected from the bike. He was taken to the hospital where he later died of his injuries.

The man was wearing a helmet, speed was a factor in the crash, and no identity has been released as of early Friday morning.
