Search Warrant Leads To Drug Arrest Of Blountville Man…Nearly Five Pounds Of Pot Discovered

A search warrant issued by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office leads to the arrest of a 19 year old Blountville man on drug and weapon charges including the confiscation of nearly five pounds of pot. 19 year old Jacob Hare of 589 Highway 394 was found with nearly five pounds of marijuana, more than 70 jars of marijuana wax and was also in possession of a Glock 9mm pistol and a twelve gauge shotgun, along with more than 18 hundred dollars. Hare is charged with possession of schedule iv narcotics for resale, maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are used and sold and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Hare was arrested and booked at the Sullivan County Jail where he was free on bond.
