Domtar Officials Closely Monitoring Market Conditions At Kingpsort Pulp And Paper Mill

A spokesperson for Domtar Industries Headquartered in Fort Mill South Carolina, who also operates the Kingpsort pulp and paper mill, says company officials continue to closely monitor their market conditions at the idled Kingpsort mill that employees 304 workers. Those workers have been laid off since April in reponse to the unforeseeable business conditions driven by the COVID-19 pandemic. Stefan Nowicki says the company is still evaluating the mill’s next steps and will continue to assist and care for company employees in Kingpsort. Nowicki went on to say that company headquarters will be in communications with mill leaders, employees and their representation when it is appropriate to do so.
