Warner’s Great American Outdoors Act Gets Senate Approval
It’s taken three years and a lot of twist and turns, but Virginia’s, United States Senator Mark Warner has finally seen Senate passage of the Great American Outdoors Act. If the House can approve the measure later this summer, the bill would mark the largest investment in deferred maintenance needs for national parks since 1956. If approved, the bill could bring with it more than ten thousand jobs to Virginia alone. U.S. Senator Mark Warner says the Blue Ridge Parkway is a good example of the work that’s needed at Virginia’s National Parks. Warner says he has high expectations the House of Represenatives will approve the bill and it could become law by July fourth.
