UVA Wise To Offer Slightly Modified Schedule For August Restart Of Classes

A slightly modified academic semester is expected to welcome students at The University of Virginia’s College at Wise on August 12. To enhance health and safety The Return to Wise plan includes social distancing in classrooms and other campus facilities. Personal Protective Equipment kits that include masks, hand sanitizing stations, and an emphasis on extensive campus cleaning. The college is offering two eight week sessions while some classes will be held on a traditional sixteen week format. Other options include Hybrid courses that meet in person and online, courses taught fully online and courses taught online and at the student’s own pace.
