Town of Jonesborough to hold 4th of July block party

The oldest town in Tennessee is set to have a block party extravaganza for the 4th of July.

The party will take place next Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. along Main Street from Fox Street to First Avenue, and downtown businesses will utilize the front of their stores as a way for area citizens to shop and eat local during the challenging time the COVID-19 pandemic has presented to businesses. Street performers and family-friendly activities can also be found.

This year was to mark the 50th Anniversary of the Jonesborough Days Festival, but the pandemic has postponed the celebration until 2021.
