Johnson City Couple Plead Guilty To Health Care Fraud… Face Years In Prison And Millions In Restitution
A Johnson City couple, who owned and operated a Drug Screening Lab will now face up to ten years in prison and will also have to repay more than nine million dollars in restitution after pleading guilty to health care fraud. 59 year old Michael Norman Dube and his wife, 40 year old Regan Gran Dube defrauded Medicaid programs, taking public money they were not entitled to. The couple established American Toxicology Labs in Johnson City and received kickbacks from third parties for referring individuals to those third parties for services for which payment was made by federal health care programs. The Dubes will be sentenced in September.
