UPDATE: North Carolina residents now ordered to wear masks inside and outside following coronavirus case spike
Residents in neighboring North Carolina now have a mandatory order to wear masks in businesses and while outdoors as the state’s coronavirus count spikes including more than 1,800 new cases in the past two days.
Governor Roy Cooper imposed the mask directive while freezing the state’s move toward another phase of reopening until mid-July.
The Republican-controlled General Assembly has passed numerous orders in an effort to speed up the reopening process while Cooper has vetoed some of those bills.
