VSP: Pickup truck driver killed in Smyth County

A driver was killed Monday night following a single-vehicle crash in Smyth County, Virginia.

A report from State Police said Dennis Greer of Marion was operating a pickup truck northbound on White Top Road in Chilhowie just before 9 pm when the vehicle struck a guardrail and overturned.

Greer, 63, was pronounced dead at the scene. The wreck remains under investigation.
