UPDATE: All surrendered Pekingese pups in Greene County now in new homes

A collection of Pekingese puppies taken in by the Greeneville-Greene County Humane Society earlier this month are all in new homes.

The agency reported that their offices received hundreds of inquiries about the 27 dogs that were surrendered to their kennel after the caretaker who was also a Pekingese breeder passed away and arrangements were made with the family.

The society had to temporarily close their offices to process and tend to the dogs before they went to their adopted families.
