Sullivan South volleyball member, Bluff City Elementary staff member test positive for COVID-19

A member of the Sullivan South High School volleyball community and a staff member at Bluff City Elementary School have tested positive for COVID-19.

Director of Schools Dr. David Cox said in a statement last night that the date of last contact of the volleyball member was Aug. 7, and all team members as well as staff are currently in quarantine. In addition to the Bluff City staff member testing positive, six other staff members have been identified for quarantine for 14 days beginning yesterday.

Contact tracing is underway by the Sullivan County Health Department.
