Hawkins County police find potential fentanyl lab inside car
A specialized task force was called in to clean up in Hawkins County following the discovery of what police called a potential mobile fentanyl operation.
Elliot M. Shaw, 28, of Johnson City, and Chelsea Isbell, 29, of Gray, were arrested and each faces five charges after investigators found a pharmaceutical pill press, white tablets, and various drug paraphernalia in their vehicle found near Phipps Bend Road in Surgoinsville, according to Sheriff Ronnie Lawson.
Samples were taken and sent to TBI laboratories for analysis.
Officers also discovered that Shaw had an existing warrant for a prostitution charge in North Carolina.
