Bristol, TN BOE: PreK-6th students to return to in-person learning five days a week, 7th-12th students to operate on hybrid in-person plan, plan set for Aug. 24 start
School leaders in Bristol, TN have approved allowing some students to return to the classroom starting next Monday.
The district’s board of education unanimously approved a plan to allow PreK-6th grade students who chose in-person learning to return to school buildings beginning Aug. 24 for five days a week.
7th-12th grade students who chose in-person learning will be heading back on a hybrid plan by alphabet. Students with last names A-L will go back Monday and Tuesday, while students with last names M-Z will attend Thursday-Friday, with each of the three days not at school to be used for remote learning. Wednesday will be used as a fully remote plan, and some at-risk students or students who need additional support could be brought back to campus. These plans can be adjusted as guidance changes according to Director of Schools Dr. Annette Tudor and will remain in effect until further notice.
School leaders also approved the district’s remote learning guidance plan and the district’s in-person learning guidance plan. You can view each plan below:
