Police searching for missing 70-year-old woman in Buchanan County

An update published by the Sheriff’s Office Friday afternoon says Stitlner was found and is safe.

Buchanan County investigators are searching for a 70-year-old woman who has not been seen since Thursday evening.

A report from Sheriff John McClanahan’s office said the last sighting of Ermaline Stitlner and her small dog was just after 6:30 pm while she was walking in the Looney’s Creek community located outside of Grundy.

Stitlner was last seen wearing a flowered shirt and pants.
