ETSU Receives National Designation As Rural Health Research Center
East Tennessee State University joins six other major universities designated as a national research contributor for rural America. The Center for Rural Health and Research at ETSU was established one year ago with a 15 million dollar investment by Ballad Health along with state funding. The money will help establish ETSU as a national leader in rural health research. ETSU joins several major universities that have received the designation including, the University of North Carolina, University of Kentucky and the University of South Carolina. ETSU is designated among seven leading institutions in the country to study issues impacting rural America.
