Kroger donates $50,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank as nonprofit’s Hunger Action Month begins
Officials with Kroger have donated $50,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee.
The check was recently presented to the local nonprofit, which will help in expansion of their hunger relief capabilities across Tennessee. Second Harvest has deemed the month of Sept. “Hunger Action Month.”
With the help of this donation, it can provide 80,000 meals as the nonprofit continues to work to fill a meal gap of over 5 million meals across the region. For those interested in donating to Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee, click here.
