Morristown Police searching for two suspects accused of robbing, assaulting gas station clerk
Police in Morristown are seeking two individuals accused of robbing and assaulting a gas station clerk early Monday.
Morristown Police say around 4:30 a.m, two men entered the Shell gas station on South Cumberland St. and demanded the clerk give them money. Officers say when the clerk refused, the two suspects crossed the counter and punched her which knocked her to the ground. Officials say the two men fled when another customer entered the store.
Both men are believed to be around 5’9” and weigh between 150 to 170 pounds. One individual is thought to be a white male wearing a black hoodie with a red stripe, gray sweatpants, and bright blue slides. Surveillance photos attached show this man behind the cash register wearing a latex glove on his right hand. The other individual is though to be a Hispanic or black male wearing a gray hoodie. Officers say surveillance photos show him wearing a ring on the middle finger of his right hand.
They both wore face masks and reportedly fled in a white four-door Toyota or Honda. Anyone with information about the two suspects should call the Morristown Police Department at 423-585-2701. Anonymous tips can be left at 423-585-1833.
