Southwest Virginia Congressman, Co-sponsors Bill To Allow For More Research On Medical Marijuana
On Thursday we told you about a medical marijuana bill in Congress, co-sponsored by Ninth District Congressman Morgan Griffith. On Friday, Griffith told us he is open minded enough to call for more research to be done on the controversial weed.Currently in Virginia, use of marijuana for medical purposes is legal. However, there is only one approved research facility to study the medical use of marijuana. If approved this law would allow for more research to be done on the drug.
