Sullivan Mask Mandate Extended Through End Of Month
Sullivan County’s mask mandate has been extended till the end of this month. The mandate expired Friday at midnight. Mayor Richard Venable issued order number 54 requiring face coverings for business employees as well as patrons in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The order will now expire at midnight on September 30. Cloth masks are to be worn while inside the business premises. Masks should not be worn by children under the age of two or anyone who has trouble breathing. Places of worship are exempt from the order pursuant to Governor Lee’s Executive Orders 38-39.
