Virginia Tech suspends 40 students for breaking COVID rules
Virginia Tech has announced the suspension of 40 students for breaking health rules related to COVID-19 issued to the campus at the beginning of the semester.
“95 percent of Virginia Tech students are (adhering to virus prevention guidelines) really well. The 5 percent of students that aren’t are problematic. Those who choose not follow public health guidelines are prolonging the pain that we’re in,” said Vice President of Student Affairs Frank Shushok who implores the student body to make good decisions by making sacrifices and holding others accountable.
Tech President Tim Sands says health officials are testing up to 1,000 patient samples per day and that level will increase as virus examination will increase to seven days a week.
