NE Tennessee communities to improve infrastructure with thousands in CDBG funding
Two communities in Northeast Tennessee will receive a portion of the $27 million allocated by federal housing officials for infrastructure needs.
The city of Greeneville received a $349,000 Community Development Block Grant for emergency service improvements while neighboring White Pine will using their $416,000 award to extend water service to more communities.
Fire first responders in the town of Baileyton in Greene County will also receive a share of those federal dollars with a $170,000 grant.
