Elizabethton City Schools expanding PreK-5th grade in-person learning to four days per week
PreK-5th grade students who attend school in Elizabethton are set to head back to classes four days a week starting next Monday.
Director of Schools Richard VanHuss said in a press release yesterday that Sept. 21 will see the start of those students going Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in-person. Students in grades 6-12 will stay on a two day hybrid in-person learning schedule for the immediate future.
Wednesday will continue to be fully remote for all students.
The decision was made following consultation from the Carter County and Northeast Regional Health Dept. The change does not impact students who are on the distance learning track.
