Suspect accused of hitting pedestrian during protest in Johnson City arraigned in court
A North Carolina man accused of hitting a pedestrian during a protest on Saturday in Johnson City was arraigned in court yesterday.
Jared Lafer is charged with one count of aggravated assault following the alleged hit and run incident that left one person with injuries. Lafer’s attorney requested a status hearing to further examine information in the case, which was granted for Oct. 26 at 9:00 a.m.
Lafer worked as an independent contractor for real estate company Coldwell Banker, but social media posts from the company stated he was disassociated from his local franchise office and no longer works for them.
