UPDATE: 104 Johnson City School students in quarantine due to possible COVID-19 exposure
A total of 12 combined students and faculty in the Johnson City Schools system are currently isolated with COVID-19.
The latest update from the district wide dashboard on Monday showed 11 students, including four at Science Hill High School who have tested positive for coronavirus, while just one positive case of the virus has been found in a faculty member. Over 100 students are currently in quarantine across the system because of possible exposure to a positive case, with nearly have of that total coming from students at South Side Elementary and Mountain View Elementary.
13 faculty members are quarantined as of Monday. An additional 70 students are awaiting COVID-19 test results. The system’s current operations for those that chose in-person learning has PreK-6th grade students attending five days a week while 7th-12th grade students are operating on a hybrid schedule.
