Ballad Strengthening Pediatric Care With New Children’s Emergency Department

Ballad Health is strengthening the regions system for pediatric care with the virtual ribbon cutting of the new J.D. Nisewonder Family Pediatric Emergency Department at Bristol Regional Medical Center. The facility officially opened last month and is part of a regional system of care for children, which includes pediatric medical, surgical and Level III NICU services at Niswonder Children’s Hospital. A dedicated pediatric trained staff at Bristol will provide increased access to specialized pediatric care. On average Bristol Regional treats nearly 500 children in the emergency department each month.
