Tennessee Governor Gives Remaining Counties Option To Extend Mask Mandate Through End Of Year

Tennessee’s six largest counties, including Sullivan County already have the authority to implement mask mandates, and on Tuesday Governor Bill Lee extended that option for the remaining counties in Tennessee. Lee has resisted calls to implement a statewide mask order and instead stresses the need for people to take personal responsibility when it comes to wearing a mask.The Governor’s decision will allow the remaining counties the option to require face coverings in public through the end of 2020.
