ALERT: Kingsport police searching for missing mom and three endangered children

The Kingsport Police Department issued an alert Thursday afternoon for a mother and her three children who are classified as missing and endangered.

The report said Whitney Elliot, 31, missed a scheduled court appearance on Wednesday, and her whereabouts along with Cloe Barnette, 3, Creed Elliot, 2, and Zandyn Elliot, 1, are unknown.

Investigators said they are possibly traveling in a silver Kia Sedona. Police said the license plate number was unknown. Photos of the children are not yet available.

The agency said the investigation has just started so few details are available.
