City of Bristol: Slater Center to remain closed due to COVID-19 surge in Sullivan County
The Slater Center in Bristol, TN will stay closed for the time being due to a resurgence of COVID-19 cases in Sullivan County.
An announcement Friday from city officials say they have receive lots of questions about when the center will reopen, but according to the White House COVID-19 Task Force Report the city is using to gauge safe and appropriate times to reopen, Sullivan County falls into the red zone, which is at or above 101 new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people. Because of the rate of cases the county is experiencing, the center will remain closed.
The city asks those that use the Slater Center to check back often on social media for updates regarding a potential reopening announcement.
