Two men indicted in drug testing kickback scheme in NE Tennessee, SW Virginia

Two men have been indicted by a federal grand jury for a kickback scheme involving a drug test agency in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.

Michael Olshavsky and John Paul Linke were arrested Monday and charged with payments to a non-licensed physician and conspiracy to defraud state and federal health care programs, according to indictments in US District Court in Abingdon.

Olshavsky was a lab rep for a company in Florida who worked with Linke who was employed by the local testing group. Prosecutors said Linke would refer test samples to the Florida company and in return receive payments of $5,000 per month disguised as commissions.

The duo collected more than $16,000 in federal funds in the illegal scheme, the reports said.
