VSP: Ambush shooting on Interstate 81 early Friday leaves one person injured
One person was shot early Friday morning on a portion of Interstate 81 located in upper Southwest Virginia.
A report from State Police says a female passenger from Charlotte, North Carolina sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the incident that occurred just before 1:30 in Pulaski County.
The victims told investigators that the shooter was traveling in a white sedan with heavy black window tint. The suspect was driving the vehicle in an aggressive manner and then lined up with the victim’s car, firing shots as they traveled northbound near the Draper exit.
