Ballad Health: Over 200 patients now hospitalized with COVID-19
Ballad Health has reached another grim milestone in the COVID-19 pandemic as it has now reached the 200 mark of patients hospitalized with the virus.
During Monday’s release of the health provider’s COVID-19 scorecard, the system reported a total of 202 COVID-19 patients hospitalized, which included 44 of those in the Intensive Care Unit and 24 on a ventilator.
In an effort to ensure capacity and staffing to care for COVID-19 patients, Ballad has also deferred all non-emergent elective procedures that require an overnight stay across all facilities which took effect Monday. Below is a view of Monday’s scorecard from the health care provider:
With 202 inpatient cases, Ballad Health reports our highest number of COVID-19 inpatient cases to date. We strongly encourage our community to social distance, wash your hands and wear your mask to reduce the spread of the virus and other illnesses. #balladhealth pic.twitter.com/lLp2l7A5Rj
